PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU REGISTER!

Before you register for this event, understand there are NO REFUNDS.We understand circumstances can prevent you from racing, such as work schedules,emergencies and injuries so we offer transfers of your paid entry until July1, 20XX. We will not be able to accommodate ANY circumstances after that date.

For liability protection on behalf of the event organizers and for you, the participant, the event insurer, USA Triathlon (USAT), requires EVERYONE pick up their own packet, show picture ID, show a current USAT annual license or sign a waiver/one-day license.NO EXCEPTIONS.You will not be allowed to particpate if you do not pick up your packet prior to the event day and show up event day. NO EVENT DAY packet pick up.

Packet Pick-up will be on various dates at different locations to accommodate participants. Please see Event Information page for details.

All Blue Wave Triathlon/Duathlon participants will receive a 10% in store at Sports Basement shopping discount on packet pick up dates and any additional event dates. Discounts can not be applied to previous purchases, other offers, monitors, electronics, strollers, and gift cards. Parking is available for all paid participants.

You must pick up your packet and provide ID. Hope For Crohn's® Blue Wave Triathlon/Duathlon is a USAT sanctioned event that will REQUIRE EVERYONE including team members to show picture ID at packet pickup.

If you are a USAT license holder in 20XX, you will be asked for your license number during registration and be required to show your license and ID at packet pickup.

If you are not a USAT license holder, you will pre-pay your one-day license when you register. You will then complete your form at packet pickup and show picture ID. The one day USAT license is for adults (18 yrs and over). There will not be a processing fee for your registration on Active.com, however, if you are not an annual USAT license holder, you will have to pay for a one-day license and there is a processing fee.

You CANNOT PARTICIPATE without either an annual or one-day license.

An USAT annual license for adults so if you plan on racing more than three USAT sanctioned races in 20XX, an annual license is cost effective.

For 20XX, we will award the top 3 finishers and the top 3 teams with medals.

THERE IS NO EVENT DAY REGISTRATION. ENTRY FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

Individuals will participate in the following divisions:

Age Group: If you choose this division, you will automatically be placed in the appropriate age and gender division. Age is determined by your actual age Dec 31, 20XX (exception: must be at least 18 or over on day of the event). They are:

Female 18-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & over.

Male 18-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 80 and over.

Athena: Females 150 lbs and over who do not want to participate in age group divisions. If you choose the Athena division, you will automatically be placed in one of two categories based on age: 39 & under (open) and 40 & over (masters).

Clydesdale: Males 200 lbs and over who do not want to participate in age group divisions. If you choose the Clydesdale division, you will automatically be placed in one of two categories based on age: 39 & under (open) and 40 & over (masters).

Teams (Relays): You may choose to participate as a team of either 2 or 3 members. In the case of 2 members, one person will complete 2 legs of the race. It doesn’t matter which legs are done. For example, Team member 1 may swim and bike while team member 2 runs, or team member 1 may swim and run while team member 2 bikes, etc. Teams will automatically be placed divisions based on the combined gender of the members. Team Divisions are: Female, Male and Mixed. We have eliminated combined ages categories because history shows there are often only one or two teams in several categories.
